Observation & Documentation
Observing and documenting is an ongoing process -the core of our pedagogy and educational work. Paying attention to the children’s thinking and how they solve problems builds a deep understanding of what their interests are to make proposals that are appealing to them.
We use a variety of methods of formal and informal observation and documentation to help us understand the whole child within the context of the group. Anecdotal notes, children’s narratives, digital photos, video and audio clips, and children’s work samples all become part of individual, authentic portfolios.
